Polyurethane Molding Installation

  • Polyurethane wall moldings can be cut with an electric or manual miter saw. A miter saw is particularly useful to avoid gaps at the corners of the resulting frame due to misalignment and to avoid dealing with putty.

  • It may be easier to mount the polyurethane wall moldings by placing them on the floor, gluing them together at the corners with quick-drying adhesive (dark super glue with activator), then applying adhesive sealant (polyurethane sealant or MS sealant) to the back and attaching them to the wall at the marked points using tape or other adhesive. (Some products on the market cannot be glued with super glue, they will melt).

  • You can fill the gaps where the polyurethane wall moldings meet the wall with sealant (acrylic).
